Healthy Road Trips

Summer road trips can still be healthy. With planning, you can skip fast food and bring nutrient-dense options for the whole family.
Prepare With Snacks
- Kale crackers, sunflower seeds, cassava chips, plantain chips
- Flaxseed crackers, snacking pickles, seaweed snacks
- Check labels and avoid dextrose, maltodextrin, corn starch, and vague natural flavors
Fresh Foods and Protein
- Organic cherry tomatoes, cut veggies, hummus, guacamole
- Beef sticks, toasted coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds, chickpea snacks
- Coconut water for hydration
Sunbutter Protein Balls
3/4 cup organic sunflower butter, 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips. Mix and roll into 1-inch balls. Store in fridge or cooler.
